At the same time, the average volume flow of the working fluid will increase, and the flow velocity will increase, resulting in an increase in flow resistance, resulting in overcoming the resistance of the rising pipe. The reduction of the capacity and the reduction of the circulating water speed increase the possibility of failures such as circulation stagnation and reverse flow.

For industrial steam boilers, some measures are mainly taken in the structural design for the reasons for the steam, such as: installing a cross baffle or grille at the entrance of the large-diameter downcomer; increasing the low enthalpy of the feed water and introducing the low enthalpy feed water to Inside (or near) the inlet of the downcomer. To prevent the downcomer from heating, specify the distance between the steam-water mixture and the inlet of the downcomer, and the downcomer is led out from the bottom of the steam drum. During operation, attention should be paid to maintaining the water level of the steam drum to prevent the downcomer from carrying steam when it is too low.
