Nominally, a fully premixed gas boiler incorporates a combustion technique called “full premixing”. Before the fuel enters the combustion chamber, it is pre-mixed with the gas (ie, air) according to the adjustment mechanism. To achieve the best combustion, the fuel utilization rate will also increase by about 10%; and it can effectively reduce the emission of harmful substances in the exhaust fumes.
Of course, for the user, fuel consumption is always one of the most concerned issues, which directly determines the input cost to the boiler. We learned from the technical engineers of FANGKUAI Boiler that the gas consumption of the fully premixed natural gas boiler and the conventional natural gas boiler are compared to help you better understand the gas boiler.
We calculate the heat required to heat 1 ton of water from 15 ° C to 50 ° C.
Requires heat: Q = 1000kg × (50 ° C - 15 ° C) × 1kcal / kg ° C = 35000kcal
Conventional gas boiler gas consumption
The current thermal efficiency of ordinary gas boilers is about 90%, and the heat of 1 cubic meter of natural gas is 8500kcal/m3.
Then, the heat available for 1 cubic meter of natural gas: 8500kcal/m3 x 90% = 7650kcal/m3.
According to the above mentioned heating of 1 ton of water from 15 ° C to 50 ° C requires 35000 kcal calculation, gas consumption for heating 1 ton of hot water: 35000kcal ÷ 7650kcal / m3 = 5.2m3.
Now the price of natural gas on the market is floating at RMB3.5, the cost heating 1 ton of hot water: 3.5 × 5.2 = RMB18.2.
Full premixed gas boiler gas consumption
The gas boiler introduced by FANGKUAI Boiler has more complete fuel combustion by adding full premixed combustion technology, and the condensing device at the tail of the flue fully reuses the high temperature flue gas discharged from the boiler, and the residual heat is secondarily absorbed back to the furnace, and the thermal efficiency is up to more than 108%. Similarly, we calculate the heat per 1 cubic meter of natural gas at 8500 kcal/m3.
Then, the heat available for 1 cubic meter of natural gas: 8500kcal/m3x thermal efficiency 108% = 9180kcal/m3.
According to the above mentioned heating of 1 ton of water from 15 ° C to 50 ° C requires 35000 kcal calculation, gas consumption for heating 1 ton of hot water: 35000kcal ÷ 9180kcal / m3 = 3.812m3.
According to the current price of natural gas per cubic meter floating around RMB3.5, the cost heating 1 ton of hot water: 3.5 × 3.812 = RMB13.34.
The calculation of this data is calculated under the condition that the gas boiler fuel is fully utilized. In actual application, there will be more or less gas heat loss. Therefore, when calculating the actual gas consumption of the gas boiler, it should be considered from many aspects. The value of the data may be more in line with the actual situation of the user.
By comparing the gas consumption of conventional gas boilers and fully premixed condensing gas boilers, we can see that in the same situation, gas boilers with full premixing and condensing technology are more fuel efficient.
